Aspiration or Inspiration?

What is the vibrational difference, and what actually works in a spirit-guided life?

Aspiration is defined as the hope of achieving something or the action of drawing breath, inhaling air, or another substance into the windpipe. Regardless of circumstances, there is an outward reach, a focus on something outside oneself. One of the symptoms of aspiration can be choking on something toxic, a substance or energy that does not belong inside us. When we say we aspire to something, that aspiration always presupposes a lack of some sort. We want to ingest, embody, or have something we perceive as better.

Inspiration is defined as the act of drawing in, potentially a divine influence that offers sacred revelation. It is the “ah-ha” moment that lights us up. The symptom of inspiration is being inspired. It is an impulse from within.

Source Essence communicates through inspiration and sometimes loud warnings. The ego may be inspired from time to time, but tends to use aspiration as motivation. Aspiration can only take one so far before one chokes. It is the way of worldly things.

I was speaking to someone recently who asked if her ambition was the cause of the issues in her corporate life. Corporate life? There is an oxymoron if there ever was one. I spent decades doing the corporate dance and wondering why it was necessary for me. This was, of course, in addition to the obvious life-supporting income. That, and my dedication to a difficult path, were my reasons. Why not wake up the hard way and earn the really good medals? Silly rabbit. Hint: They are too weighty to go through any portal but their own. Other trajectories become unavailable.

It took a few minutes of listening to this woman for Source to show me that her situation, though it seemed similar to what I had experienced, was a different track altogether. While I had begged Source to airlift me out of those work environments so that I could complete my awakenings, this woman wanted to know why staying in a corporate environment couldn’t be easy for her and why she could not awaken right there, where she was. “Is it possible to wake up in a corporate environment?” Oh dear, I thought. Well, I did…sort of…only those first awakenings tossed me straight into a classic dark night. They were the perfect setup for it. Maybe that is always what happens, uniquely, to each of us.

It is possible to wake up while still immersed in a closed system, yes. Anything is possible. There are only varying degrees of probability and certainly vast ranges of Grace. I had my first three awakenings while immersed in the corporate world. It is, however, an extremely difficult passage. Call it a martyr’s dream. No joke. Martyrdom lines up, salivating, for the opportunity.

Giving the mind a productive focus is good. Supporting one’s life is good. Dedicated couch potatoes tend to rot quickly. There is much to be learned from a gainful trajectory in the world… when our focus is not solely on material reward. I can honestly say that the “last job” in the corporate world pushed every known button and many I had no idea existed within me. It was its own brilliantly orchestrated purgatory. And then, I went down the dark night tunnel. I felt the waters close over my head with relief. At least things were moving!

Two things are mirrored in our life circumstances. One, what we have left within us that triggers and judges, and two, what is purging. The latter is more prevalent now, during the Great Remembering. Remember that what is showing up is what is purging. Do not engage. Let it go. Does this mean embracing a position of being neither attracted nor repulsed? Yes, as long as one does not embrace a ramrod-rigid stick in the mud and call it a middle way.

I read the greatest line this morning, “…when divinity enters, the illusion can no longer pretend to be God…” Brilliantly put. This is what happens vibrationally when an inspired and awakening embodiment enters the abode of fixed positions. All heaven breaks loose. The chaotic reflections are purging, even as they fling their slings and arrows and run. Some bully or stand and fight. These, we learn to duck, thus honing our agility.

Embodied awakening is terrifying to established egos. Let your Source Essence reinforce your boundaries and shields, and you will still feel everything, but it will no longer impact your consciousness, nor are you required to live with the pain. That illusion’s demise is imminent and needs to happen sooner rather than later.

We are here to experience the wonder and joy of life and to radiate that, no matter our circumstances. Situations are temporary. So are life’s continuous displays of beauty. This is where our focus needs to be.
