Revelation or Reckoning

Or both? Today is known in some cultures as Boxing Day. What lives within your personal Pandora’s box? Is that acted out on rounds to visit family and friends while exchanging gifts? Or, like me, do you ignore all that material stuff and focus on the Solstice light?

The holidays afford us a moment to allow hope to enter or re-enter and hopefully reconfigure the containers of our lives.

The Solstice brought about a great inner reckoning, and so, at this pause between two calendars, we can take a deep breath before being plunged into revelation. The tricksey bit is that new reality revelations arrive quietly. One moment, there are bits of old realities present, and the next, pouf! They’re gone. Some integrate, some purge.

I have a silly habit of watching ridiculous Christmas movies during Hanukkah and watching Hanukkah films on Christmas. This activity keeps me on a trajectory that lives outside of most boxes. What I notice is the hope and the light, schmaltzy though it may be. And, of course, I crave latkes. Who wouldn’t? They are their own miracle of the oil.

Whether any of us felt the inner reckoning or not, we are in the assimilation phase of this influx of new frequency codes. These capsules of energy push out what does not belong in the new calendar or our newly crafted lives.

Today feels a bit ungrounded, a bit freefall, if I’m observant. Many feel the first wave of disappointment at the so-called end of the holidays (of course, today is also Kwanzaa) and the impending return to work life, and some just feel the letdown of holiday light and hope having changed nothing. “Oh, the world remains the same.“ Is that true? From behind what filter? What might empty out of that box if we left it behind?

Source’s pilot light never falters, no matter what. This is always helpful to remember, even when candles seem to burn low. A common theme in all of those silly films is that of knowing what matters. Remember that what matters to us always manifests. Always. No matter what we may have decided otherwise. And remember that, in this world, manifestation tends to come in threes.

What has the Solstice brought that has changed your holydays? If you have not yet noticed, be patient. Revelations of this nature arrive quietly and in their own divine timing. Some may surprise you. That would be fun, yes?

May you enjoy the dissolution of all boxes. May its gift of quiet guide your manifestations and your joy.

~Infinite love,

P.S. Some have asked why I would not largely ignore the established religious holidays and immerse myself instead in Buddhist chants or Hindu mantras. Who says I don’t? How funny… ;)
