Intuition, Tenderness, & Evolving Strands of Strength
August ends and September begins; or so reads the Western calendar. The palpable energetic shift on the planet is a heady, sometimes confusing, mix of collective projection and cosmic wisdom. Seasons turn as Gaia is bathed in fresh configurations of celestial flow. In other words, the cosmic bath waters are shifting. What are we currently immersed within? How will this phase of soaking change things?
The urge to immerse oneself in soothing water takes many forms. What forms will your heart express a yearning for during this pivotal and transformational week?
There is much ado about ‘back to school’ at this time of year, regardless of the hemisphere we might inhabit. Something to feel into, perhaps, is the planet Saturn’s retrograde into the sign of Pisces, giving us the opportunity to review any and all of our internal spiritual contracts. What spiritual contracts bind us inwardly and outwardly? What agreements have we made that we continue to defend? Is this defending, this defensiveness, of sustainable value? Hint: When the defending begins, something has surfaced for examination. Saturn is an impeccable schoolmaster, regardless of where we might find his influence in our astrological entry configuration {natal chart}. The sign of Pisces brings us immersion in the Infinite Sea. Will the schoolmaster’s rules, roles, and dictates dissolve in this sea? Is it time? Are there deeper transformations to move through than ever before? We are all, regardless of our circumstances, immersed in new learning. This week begins the passage.
I have been reviewing Buddha’s teachings for a bit, literally re-minding the mind that there is no concept of worship in these principles, but an evolving science of managing the use of mental energy. Using the inner light of intuition and tenderness, alternate strands of strength emerge. Calm neutrality, I find, is the most beneficial of these lightstrreams. One of the fun parts of this review has been perusing stories written from the point of view of an esteemed feline, The Dalai Lama’s Cat.
This series of books is delightful bedtime reading, as a friend of mine accurately recommended. Instead of a “monkey mind,” the feline narrator describes mental chatter as the mind having fleas. What a delicious image! What mental fleas might have been ignored? What thought currents, or projections perhaps relegated to white noise, can now transform? What fresh tendrils of amplified intuition and inner tenderness might be welcomed?
The past few days have held an extremely intense energy and also an exquisite light. What truth might this divine torchlight bring into focus that we may have bypassed or taken for granted?
For example, knowing how the structures of belief function, do we still believe anything? What data does the mind, and its repository of images, try to conjure? This is only the mind’s function, attempting to fulfill its purpose and do its job. What if there are more optimal functions for our mental capacities? What if these higher frequencies are born of a stillness that radiates the only sense of purpose we have ever truly needed?
What if we focused on a fully present stillness that produces a nexus of peace and power? What if this is the only strength we need?
Sekhmet agrees, as do an array of other archetypal images. To what images have we pledged allegiance, when an inner alignment with and as certain lightstreams may have been optimal all along?
Have a wonderful re-focusing passage. This goes so much deeper than most have ever delved.
Blessed becoming!
